Before you buy
- What stays free?
- 1,000 words a day in runs of up to 1 hour, with the natural rhythm (speed changes and pauses), background typing and .docx upload. No account, free for good. Your first run includes every Pro feature.
- Is my writing sent anywhere?
- Not when TrickleType types in your browser, which is the default: your text stays on your device. Pro checks your licence about once a day by sending the licence key and a random install id, never your text. Only the optional Cloud typing sends a draft to our server, for that run, and it is deleted when the run ends.
- Can I cancel Monthly or Yearly?
- Yes, any time, from the link in your receipt email. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
- What if it isn’t for me?
- Email [email protected] within 7 days of paying and we’ll refund you.
- How does the student and teacher discount work?
- Enter your school email below and we send it a 6-digit code. Enter the code and checkout opens with your first month of Monthly at $0.99 instead of $6.99. After that it renews at the normal price unless you cancel. One discount per school email.
- How many browsers can I use it in?
- One licence key works in one browser at a time. You can move it to another browser whenever you like.
- How many words does Pro include?
- Every Pro plan, Lifetime included, types up to 100,000 words a month, in your tab or in the cloud (about 50 long essays). Up to 3 cloud runs can go at once. The allowance resets on the 1st of each month. Free stays at 1,000 words a day.
- Who handles the payment?
- Freemius, our payment processor and merchant of record. They take the card details and send the receipt with your licence key; we never see your card.
For comparison, as checked in October 2026: Dripwriter Pro is $15 a month or $108 a year and needs your Google account.
Already bought Pro? Open the TrickleType panel, click the plan button at the top (it says “Free”) and paste the licence key from your receipt.
